SURPRISE! My husband and I are expecting our first baby next year!! We are beyond thrilled and feel extremely blessed to experience this gift from God.

I’m now 13 weeks pregnant. I cannot believe we are already nearly to the second trimester! I can only imagine how quickly this pregnancy will fly by and soon I’ll be holding those tiny little hands and feet.

The first few months of growing this little babe have been exhausting, yet so exciting. I’ve been blessed to have experienced very little sickness, only been really tired and experiencing nausea. I also found out a few weeks ago that my progesterone hormone levels were much too low, therefore was prescribed progesterone suppositories. I’m really only mentioning this here because I believe I could have started the progesterone sooner because of information I knew prior to becoming pregnant. If you are using the FAM method as birth control or while trying to conceive (which I highly recommend for a more natural route), take note if you find out your luteal phase (the time between ovulation and your period) is shorter than about 11 or 12 days. This can mean you have low progesterone, a hormone you really need to maintain pregnancy! This is information I should have told my OB sooner, to be prescribed progesterone closer to the time I conceived. All is well and my levels are up to a healthy number!

My husband and I are pretty overwhelmed with emotions about this new life. It feels incredible and a bit nerve-racking! We are super excited to find out the gender in a couple months, but until then are just dreaming about our soon future! It’s pretty amazing to see our baby’s heart flutter on the ultrasound screen and hear it beat inside me. Cannot wait to love this baby and watch him/her grow! Thank you to everyone who has been so sweet and supportive when we shared this announcement on Instagram! We love you.
