We’re having a baby BOY!!!
I had my 20 week/mid-pregnancy anatomy ultrasound (which by the way was at the most beautiful doctor’s office I’ve ever seen!! Straight out of a Restoration Hardware catalog. Dream.) & it was incredible to watch our boy moving around on the screen. We haven’t had an ultrasound since week 8, which pretty much looks like a tiny bean, so it was amazing to be able to see him so developed! We asked the technician to keep the gender a secret from us and write it in a note, sealed up in an envelope. My amazing sister-in-law and momma didn’t peak at all, but took the envelope to the party store to have a couple big black balloons filled with pink or blue confetti! It was such a thrill for Jarre & I to pop the balloons with our close family and friends that night (the anticipation killed me all day!) and when the blue confetti came falling down I hugged Jarrett, grabbed his face and said “IT’S A BOY! It’s a boy!” We both couldn’t stop smiling the rest of the night!
We are super super excited about finding out our sweet baby’s gender! For some reason, both Jarrett and I had this feeling it was a girl, but to our surprise it is most certainly a boy! Jarrett was hoping that our first born would be a son. I had the mindset it would be a girl so I’m switching gears into all things boy & it is SO fun. Now we just have to wait about 20 more weeks to meet this little man. I can’t wait! We are really loving putting an identity to our baby and dreaming about our life together! This little boy is such a joy in our lives and we feel extremely blessed to have a healthy baby boy.
