I had the pleasure to intern with Alexis of The Shift Creative for a few months during Spring + Summer. It was such a fun time full of crafting + creating!
I had the joy of helping both in preparation and at the event for the Endless Summer Festival at The Irvine Spectrum. It was a back-to-school event for the community to come shop, create, and enjoy the fun vendors! There was a hair braiding station, flash tattoos, floral crowns, free popsicles, and other fun goodies! The Shift Creative was brought on to host a Create your own dreamcatcher station and Paint a succulent pot station. I assisted with the dreamcatchers made from embroidery hoops and textured yarn. We, as a team, created 500 bases for the guests! Yep, 500! Attendees were encouraged to add fringe and feathers to make it their own! I had a great time being apart of the local community and working with Alexis!
Unfortunately, my home life and stress levels caused me to end my time interning with Alexis, but I am so glad for the opportunity and experience I gained!
I’ll definitely continue my crafting + my love for creating!
